Characteristics - Distilled from the dried unripe berries of a woody vine. Very spicy warming and penetrating.
Properties & benefits - Stimulating and strengthening to the nervous system, Energises mind and body. Useful in blends for massage especially before or after exercise or where there are muscular aches and pains. Stimulates the digestive system and the appetite.
Blends well with - frankincense, lavender, lemon, marjoram, rosemary, sandalwood
Cautions - Care should be taken in using as can be a skin irritant in high concentrations
General Methods of Use of Essential Oils - Inhalation - 1-2 drops on a tissue or 3-4 drops in a bowl of warm water. (this method not to be used for asthmatics) Baths - 5-6 drops in a full drawn bath. Mix well just before getting in. Massage - add 2-3 drops to every 10ml of carrier oil
