Characteristics - A perrenial herb with fragrant hairy leaves and whitish flowers. It has a strong earthy and exotic fragrance which was used in the East to scent linen. It is also used as a fixitive in perfumes.
Properties & benefits - Useful for anxiety and depression, grounding. Has a deodorising effect and is useful for the skin asoecially healing and treating a variety of skin and scalp disorders.
Blends well with - bergamot, cedarwood, clary sage, geranium, lavender, pine, sandalwood
General Methods of Use of Essential Oils -
Inhalation - 1-2 drops on a tissue or 3-4 drops in a bowl of warm water. (this method not to be used for asthmatics) Baths - 5-6 drops in a full drawn bath. Mix well just before getting in. Massage - add 2-3 drops to every 10ml of carrier oil
