A warm relaxing bath is a great way to relax and relieve stress.
Essential oils can be soothing and refreshing, when added to your bath. Using essential oils in the bath is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways of experiencing aromatherapy.
When bathing with essential oils some of the benefits of the oils will be experienced via absorption through the skin. At the same time the warm water will cause the oils to vaporise into the air where they are inhaled. This benefits both the respiratory system (great for colds) as well as the nervous system, the mind and the emotions.
Depending on the oils chosen, your aromatherapy bath can help you to relax and de-stress at the end of a long day, invigorate and awaken in the morning, or even soothe a tired body and muscles.
Add oils to full drawn bath. Mix well just before getting into bath. These blends are designed for adults. They should not be used for babies or young children. Refer to the article Aromatherapy and Children for kid-safe oils and blends.
